August is a more eventful month than we give it credit for! We found numerous occasions to remind you how taking care of your financial health is important and adds to the festivities of life. Friendship Day, Youth Day, Independence Day and very recently Rakshabandhan – all of them gave us an opportunity to talk about finances.
We thought that like any good Paathshaala, SLA ki paathshaala should also do a quick lesson recap before we move on to the end of 3/4 th of the year! Here it is –
Friendship Day
We asked you to thank your financial adviser for being a good friend to you! A friend who is always there giving you open and honest advise always. He keeps you calm in the stressed times and rejoices when you’re happy – a keeper for sure!
Youth Day
On youth day we took it upon us to share our little wisdom with the next generation – a generation to whom we owe our future progress! We advise our youth to manage their money well, invest in their own future, value time and most importantly prepare and plan for contingencies as well!
Independence Day
A very popular saying that goes like this – with independence comes responsibility! A golden statement that is as true as its old! This Independence Day we urged you to have financial freedom – freedom from worries of any kind of financial situations, be it buying a home or car, children’s education, saving and investing etc. Some of the gems from our list of advice were – living debt free, living below your means, drawing an expense plan, start saving and focusing; refocusing on your goals!
Rakshabandhan
And finally with we tried to break another of patriarchy’s fall outs! We tried to push you to share your financial wisdom and knowledge with your sisters who have been kept away from money matters all their lives! We urged you to help her develop a financial vision and set her onto the path of financial independence.
